Cancer and Palliative Care

Cancer and Palliative Care in ICP
If you or someone close to you has just been diagnosed with cancer, or any other life threatening disease, you may not know what to expect and it can feel quite daunting, or even overwhelming. At ICP, we aim to support your through this journey that you are facing by offering you information, as well as practical and emotional support.

For those with more advanced disease, the practice works with the Gold Standards Framework for Palliative Care. This is a way of working that has been adopted by the practice, along with thousands of others across the UK. It involves us working together as a team. The team includes the district nurses, the hospice team, social services, and other professionals and local charitable organisations as necessary. We work closely with the Princess Alice Hospice team in order to provide the best care possible for patients and their families.
