The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of people who are patients of the four surgeries and want to help them work as well as they can for patients, doctors & staff. The NHS requires every practice to have a PPG.
We are affiliated to the National Association of Patient Participation Groups (N.A.P.P.) and have 12 members from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. We meet approximately every two months.
A Focus Group is one of the ways the PPG collects your views and opinions about your health care. If you have been to any of the surgeries as a patient, parent or carer, your experiences are important to us. The Focus Groups are held in the Annexe at Fitznells Manor Surgery, but not too often. We know that you are busy, so we meet only a few times a year and hope that you can join us.
As a result of recent Focus Group meetings, the PPG has worked with the Practice to identify areas where the surgeries could improve. Examples include: reversal of the 0844 telephone number, improved signage for disabled patients and improvements to the on-line booking system.
If you want to be part of a Focus Group please ask at Reception or contact Vicki Parnell by email: [email protected]
Your views are important and will be listened to. It may not be possible to act on every suggestion, but all feedback is very valuable.
The Patient Participation Group (PPG) has been working with the practice to identify areas of our services where we could improve.
As a result of this work an action plan has been drawn up.
March 2013: The Action Plan has now been updated and a link to the updated version is below.
